All other factors being equal the most profitable construction material factory to ship stone to is the one furthest away. I haven't yet let this scenario run so I am only assuming it is not a profitable situation but we will see. So I should have started supplying the factory from the 2nd quarry instead of supplying the 2nd brick factory from Quarry number 1. So I would say that what I should actually have done is leave the quarry at the 50% shipment level until later in the game and concentrate on the factory that produces the goods first. So I started supplying that and the quarry then started show the shipment levels catching up to full.
One of the customers named was another brick factory on the other side of the map. This appears to be potential customers that the game already has planned within it, based on the other businesses on the map. The middle tab of the quarry screen showed the customers. The Quarry showed the two levels on the last tab that only about 50% of the products made were reaching their destination. My quarry was in this situation where I needed production to be higher to help the brick factory.
