When Google Calendar was down for a few hours yesterday, I went into Spanning and exported a few backups as an ICS file, and gave them to our executive assistant to load into Mozilla Thunderbird. Most of the time restore is fine, but we are paying for out-of-band backups for a reason. I was trying CubeBackup, but they don't have an Export feature, only a restore feature. What are we paying for, if we can't use the service? And by too much, I mean anything more than $0.00. We are paying too much to not be able to use the service. Support told me that a lot of other clients are requesting exports/restorations, so that is the reason it is slow. It is now 20 hours since I made the request.

Similar to Backupify, Spanning was purchased by another company and existing employees have made it clear that the new parent company is pulling these strings. Type one thing, or change one part of a date, and the search starts which just wastes your time. Trying to narrow down results actually gives more results.
